Two Inland Empire Auto Accidents Cause Three Fatalities Over the Weekend – Three people were killed in 2 accidents over the weekend in the Inland Empire. On Sunday night in Chino, California, a parking lot accident at the East Sarang Community Church at 5540 Schaefer Ave. killed two pedestrians. Chino Police first looked at a possible terrorism motive, but CPD spokesperson Monica Gutierrez confirmed that it was not a terrorist motivated killing, but instead, just a fatal car accident.  The fatal car crash was reported just after 8:00 p.m. The car vs. pedestrian accident injured several other people who were walking in the parking lot, but they all suffered personal injuries which were non-life threatening. A post on the Chino PD's Facebook page stated that the driver and his passenger also sustained non-life threatening injuries. Traffic accident investigators are concluding their investigation into the fatal collision.

Earlier last weekend in Ontario, California, a motorcyclist from Upland died Friday night after the motorcycle he was riding made contact with another vehicle. The paramedics and ambulance driver from American Medical Response discovered the motorcyclist, 30 year old Brian Richard Jimenez, unresponsive at the intersection of Haven Avenue and Jurupa Street in Ontario approximately 8:30 p.m., according to a press release from the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office. No other details about the other vehicle have yet been reported.

The biker was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Ontario where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 9:00 p.m., the news release said. Traffic accident investigators from Ontario Police Department are currently investigating the cause of the fatal motorcycle collision.
