La Crescenta, CA (May 7, 2016) – A huge 7 car pileup reportedly shut down up to 5 lanes of traffic on the 210 freeway in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Los Angeles County city of La Crescenta. California Highway Patrol was alerted that the crash had taken place on the eastbound 210 freeway around 2:30 am Saturday and earlier reports stated that the 7 vehicle pileup involved a big rig truck.
Once on the scene, CHP found that the car crash appeared to be a chain reaction and 6 other cars aside from the semi truck were involved. Lanes 1, 2, 3 and 4 were all shut down for over an hour and a half. SigAlert was put in place around 3:00 am in order to clear the road from debris and was later cleared at about 4:00 am.
Ambulance services were also called to the scene of the 7 car pileup but no serious injuries were reported. However, that does not mean that some of the people involved in the chain reaction car accident won’t be suffering from medical issues in the days following the collision.
