Motorcycle Crash on 60 Freeway Results in Injuries

Diamond Bar, CA (May 3, 2016) – Early reports indicate that a motorcycle and utility truck were involved in a crash on State Route 60 West near Grand Ave Tuesday. Located just to the west of the 57 freeway, the crashed motorcycle ended up stuck in traffic and was left blocking the first lane. Due to the amount of debris and confusion, the second lane and the carpool lane were also blocked.

California Coach was called to the scene of the motorcycle accident, as a flatbed tow truck was required to remove both the utility truck and the crashed motorcycle to clear the roadway for traffic. At the time of the accident, it appeared that the motorcyclist was suffering from a possible broken leg. Once emergency services arrived on the scene he was transported to the nearest hospital, where his injuries could be properly treated. In order to safely clear the roadway from debris, a Sigalert was issued for around 30 minutes.

It seems as though the driver in this accident is lucky that their injuries were not more severe. However, many complications can arise from suffering a broken leg including expensive medical bills, lost wages, damage and repair costs, pain and suffering and much more. Southern California car and motorcycle accident victims that have been injured due to the negligent acts of a third party can rest easy knowing that their rights are protected by state mandated personal injury laws.
