CERRITOS, CA (May 12, 2016) – Several Injured in Truck Rollover Accident – A crash on the I-605 early Thursday morning resulted in several injuries and left one vehicle overturned, while another landed in an embankment. California Highway Patrol was called to the scene at around 2:00 am near where the northbound I-605 lanes transitions to State Road 91.
According to reports, a pickup truck and a white Chevrolet El Camino were involved in a crash that caused the truck to roll down the embankment. Apparently, the impact from the collision caused the El Camino to overturn and land on its roof. While there weren’t any life threatening injuries reported, ambulance services were called to the scene and all injured individuals were sent to the nearest medical center to be treated.
The northbound lanes of I-605 had to be shut down for about 45 minutes while tow and road service crews removed the two vehicles from the roadway. Currently, the cause of the accident is still unclear and being investigated by California Highway Patrol.
